Redkite is a non-profit organisation, providing support to children and young people (0-24 yrs) with cancer, and their families – now and into the future. They are not doctors or medical experts but, are there throughout the whole cancer journey, from the moment of diagnosis until after treatment finishes. Every child and young person’s experience of cancer is unique. To give a child or young person the best chance of managing the cancer journey positively, the whole family and each individual needs to be supported to manage their unique cancer experience. By alleviating the financial and emotional stress and enabling children, young people families and their support networks to develop their strengths and skills, Redkite assists the whole family to achieve that positive end. Imagine a new galaxy in the sky, full of sky lanterns illuminated brightly high and above, gently floating upwards into the darkness of the night sky. A sky lantern, also known as Kong ming deng (孔明灯), is a small hot air balloon made of paper, with an opening at the bottom where a small fire is suspended. Sky lanterns were strategically used on the battlefield as an efficient method of communication. This is a festival that brings people together. An event where people can express and release their deepest fears, desires and thoughts freely, soaring up to a mile high into the night sky. As the sky lantern rises softly into the night, it portrays wholeness and completion, and a sense of freedom. It is also the successful beginning of a new journey, with the light illuminating the path of knowledge and righteousness. It is a festival of celebrating life, people and one’s dreams. The sky is one's canvas that is full of beauty and nostalgic. Full of excitement and anticipation while one makes a wish and seeing the troubles drift away in a collective galaxy, turning the night sky into an expanse of unimaginable beauty. This magical experience is special, giving people the chance to elevate hopes, awaken dreams, and create memories that is everlasting; honouring our existence. The sky is full of dreams.

The posters are designed in a chronological order to show the transition from day to night for different locations and different times of the day.
This can be placed at a bus stop where the system is timed for the poster to change at a particular time of the day.
Another method is using ambient brightness sensor; when the sensor sensed that it is getting dark the poster will change automatically.
Ambient Brightness Sensor - are used to detect light or brightness in a similar way as the human eye.
